Congratulations! You have qualified for your Official DPS Class C Road Rules & Signs Written (Permit) Test. Before you continue, please confirm that your parent-instructor has completed the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), Parent-Taught Driver Education Instructor Designation Services Request and purchased the Parent Taught Driver Education (PTDE) Program Guide. TDLR charges a separate fee for the PTDE Program Guide, that is not included in our course fee. If your “Designated” Instructor has NOT completed the Parent-Taught Driver Education Instructor Designation Services Request and purchased the Parent Taught Driver Education (PTDE) Program Guide from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR), do NOT continue, or proceed to the Official Permit Test, as it cannot be reset. Click the TDLR link below to be redirected to TDLR. Once your “designated” parent-instructor completes the process, you may come back and proceed to the Official Permit Test. There are two (2) Phases and two (2) Certificates of Completion required by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) for the teen driver education licensing process. Our course includes both certificates of completion, however, there are specific state-mandated course requirements that must be completed, prior to receiving access to each of the certificates.   IMPORTANT:  The certificates of completion from our course are NOT a License to drive. You must apply for a Learner License and once all state-mandated course requirements are completed, you’ll need to test and apply for a Provisional License at a Texas Department of Public Safety Licensing office. Per State of Texas Driver Education Administrative Rule, the student must first obtain their Learner License (Permit) from the Texas DPS, before beginning any in-car driving instruction. Account access expires one (1) year from the original purchase date of course. All course requirements must be completed, certificates requested, downloaded and saved, on your device, on or before your account expires.
